Tour de la Provence 2018, Laporte takes stage 4 – Geniez gets the GC

Christophe Laporte (Cofidis) wins stage 4 of the Tour de la Provence 2018. The Frenchman takes out the sprint and gets the third victory in this first month of racing and it is confirmed as one of the most shaped riders. Pierre Barbier (Roubaix-Lille Métropole) and Jonas Van Genechten (Vital Concept) finishes just behind Laporte. Samuel Dumoulin (Ag2r La Mondiale) finishes in third whereas Romain Feillu (St Michel-Auber93) in fifth.

Alexandre Geniez (Ag2r La Mondiale), by crossing the finish line with the same time of today’s winner, wins the overall classification on the french stage race over Tony Gallopin (Ag2r La Mondiale) and Rudy Molard (FDJ).
