GP Indurain 2018, Valverde keeps winning

Alejandro Valverde (Movistar) doesn’t know how to stop winning and took the success at the 2018 GP Indurain. The Spaniard crossed the finish line of Estella solo after 189 kilometers of racing thanks to a number of attacks that allowed Valverde to take the ninth seasonal success. At first with over 8 kilometers to go the Movistar leader went clear and in that occasion only his fellow countrymen Carlos Verona (Mitchelton-Scott) could follow the 2018 Volta a Catalunya winner. The Murcia native launched the decisive attack with 5 kilometers to go and Verona couldn’t do nothing to limit the unstoppable ride of the Spaniard. The Australian Nick Schultz (Caja Rural – Seguros RGA) won the sprint of the chasing group over Eduard Prades (Euskadi – Murias) and Carlos Betancur (Movistar).
