Sonny Colbrelli is happy with the result he has achieved at the Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne 2018. Bahrain-Merida sprinter has not taken the spoils but at least he stepped to the podium, doing better than what did yesterday at Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. “Today it has been a very tough race – says Colbrelli – I’m grateful to my teammates because after the Oude Kwaremont I was together with approximately fifteen riders and my teammate Heinrich Haussler and, in the finale, all of my team worked in oder to ensure for myself the best positioning in the sprint”, using words to thank all the support so far proved along all the course of the 2018 Kuurne – Brussel – Kuurne.
By the way, what has gained the most thanks to this result is Colbrelli’s morale. Italian sprinter also reveals a backstory about the result achieved at the Omloop: “This result is encouraging with a view to next Classics – reveals the former bardiani rider – I feel confident because also yesterday I have been competitive. Nevertheless, I have little regrets about the result I have achieved at the Omloop. Today I took my revenge because it wasn’t easy to finish in third”. Colbrelli will soon leave Belgium because he will be committed in Strade Bianche and Tirreno-Adriatico before targeting the 2018 Milano-SanRemo.
