Italian sprinters continue to dominate 2018 Tour de Langkawi

Manuel Belletti wins Tour de Langkawi stage 7. Androni – Sidermec leader takes the sprint in a bunch of ten at the end of  223 kilometers to Muar. The Italian overtakes on the finish line Eugert Zhupa (Wilier Triestina – Selle Italia) and Ruslan Tleubayev (Astana), in this manner bringing to Italy the sixth success over 7 days of racing at the 2018 Tour de Langkawi. Lukas Owsian (CCC – Sprandi) and Giuseppe Fonzi (Wilier – Triestina – Selle Italia) moved respectively in second and in fourth overall thanks to the participation in the group that fought for the victory. Artem Ovechkin still holds the leader’s jersey with one stage to the end.

Volta a Catalunya stage 6 shortened because of snow

Due to adverse weather conditions stage 6 of the 2018 Volta a Catalunya is shortened from 194 to 117 kilometers. The race is starting in Pobla de Segur and it will finish as planned in Torrefarera. The only remaining climb in today’s racing will be the Port d’Ager (8,3 km, 5%) woith over 68 kilometers remaining. The race is expected to start at 2:30 pm CET
