Tour of the Basque Country 2018, Roglic takes all!
Primoz Roglic (Lotto Nl – Jumbo) wins the stage 4 individual time trial at the 2018 Tour of the Basque Country and takes the overall lead. The Slovenian stopped the hand of the clock on 22’26” after 19,4 kilometers of racing from and to Lodosa, marking in this manner the best time of all. Roglic took the success over Patrick Bevin (BMC Racing), who led the provisional stage classification until the time trial World Champs runner-up overcame the Kiwi by 9 seconds, and Vasil Kiryenka (Team Sky). In addiction to the Belarussian, three other riders lining-up for the British team finished the stage into the top-10: those are Jonathan Castroviejo in fourth, Michal Kwiatkowski in fifth and David De La Cruz in seventh. Among the Team Sky representatives, Michal Matthews (Sunweb) proved that his shape is improving and finished in sixth. Primoz Roglic is now leading the general classification and sits 34 seconds ahead of former leader Julien Alaphilippe (Quick Step Floors) and 1 minute and 33 seconds of Bauke Mollema (Trek – Segafredo).
