Route Adélie de Vitré 2018, Dillier punches the timecard
Road race Swiss national champion Silvan Dillier (Ag2r La Mondiale) took the success at the 2018 Route Adélie de Vitré. The twenty-seven years old won after a whole day of racing spent in the breakaway at the end of 197,8 kilometers with beginning and end set in Vitré. Former BMC Racing rider took the sprint over Benoit Vaugrenard (Groupama – FDJ), who has just turned 36, and Justin Mottier (Vital Concept), who went pro last January. Together with the ones who have finished in podium positions, today’s breakaway was joined by Jerome Cousin – who dropped in the final stages of the race – and Paul Ourselin (Direct Energie), Anthony Delaplace (Fortuneo – Samsic) and Ricardo Vilela (Manzana – Postobon). Samuel Dumoulin (Ag2r La Mondiale) won the bunch sprint over Hugo Hofstetter (Cofidis), in this way finishing in seventh.
