Join us for live text coverage of Tirreno-Adriatico 2018 Stage 2 from Camaiore to Follonica. The week-long stage race is the first test for Grand Tour general classification riders and we’re likely to see the big names testing themselves throughout a-week time. From today, March 7, until Tuesday, March 13, 22 teams – 18 of which are World Teams whereas 4 are professional teams – will compete along the roads of Central Italy over sprints, climbs and time trials. It will be definetively one for the sprinters today. Caleb Ewan (Mitchelton-Scott), Fernando Gaviria (Quick Step Floors), Marcel Kittel (Katusha-Alpecin), Peter Sagan (Bora-hansgrohe), Sonny Colbrelli (Bahrain-Merida), Sacha Modolo (EF-Drapac), Danny van Poppel (Lotto Nl-Jumbo), Jakub Mareczko (Wilier-Selle Italia), Giacomo Nizzolo (Trek-Segafredo), Kristian Sbaragli (Israel Cycling Academy), Nikias Arndt (Sunweb) and Davide Cimolai (FDJ) are likely to be today’s pretenders. Chris Froome returns to racing this week after the the Vuelta a Andalucia and the big question mark over his head didn’t break up yet.
