Strade Bianche 2018, Bardet: “I’m satisfied because I’ve done what I wanted to do”

Romain Bardet (Ag2r La Mondiale) achieves a prestigious podium spot at the Strade Bianche 2018. The French climber has been one of the most brilliant protagonists thoughout today’s race and claimed once again his love for Strade Bianche. In addiction to this, Berdet proved he can be one of the most competitive riders for one-day climbers-friendly races. “Of course I am satisfied of my performance because I handled perfectly the race – said Bardet to our correspondent in Sienna – I want to offer my congratulations to Benoot who, along the last dirt road, carried out the crucial attack.  I pushed on the last demanding kilometer of racing and I got this result. However I’m happy because I’ve done what I wanted to do”, highlighting his satisfaction despite he came very close to the victory.
