Liege-Bastogne-Liege 2018, Vanendert: “I experienced strange feelings at the end”

Jelle Vanendert confirms himself as a protagonist on the Wallon classics at the Liege-Bastogne-Liege 2018. The Belgian hasn’t achieved a positive result on the finish line but made a good performance. Lotto – Soudal‘s rider attacked on the Cote de Saint-Nicolas and for a while seemed strong enough to join Jungels in the lead. Today’s hassles came at Vanendert full on in the finale and he was reeled in by both the attackers and the chasing group.
