Liege-Bastogne-Liege 2018, Jungels: “It came as a surprise to me”

Bob Jungels achieves the first win in a monument classic at the Liege-Bastogne-Liege 2018. The Luxembourgian moved the decisive attack with over 19 kilometers remaining and succeeded in winning solo on the finish line in Ans. Jungels didn’t intended to go until the finish line ahead of everyone because he was working with a view to Alaphilippe‘s interest. In facts he wasn’t sure he could have made it until he hit the last kilometer. By the way Jungels barely showed his satisfaction but his behaviour in front of the camera might not be the same to what he’s feeling.
