Et il \u00e9tait particuli\u00e8rement attendu car \u00e0 la diff\u00e9rence du Giro ou du Tour, peu de d\u00e9tails sur la Vuelta 2019 ont filtr\u00e9 jusque l\u00e0. Il y aura bien huit arriv\u00e9es au sommet dont cinq in\u00e9dites, soit une de plus que ce qui \u00e9tait escompt\u00e9. La premi\u00e8re semaine proposera d\u00e9j\u00e0 quatre arriv\u00e9es au sommet dont deux en altitude. S&rsquo;il n&rsquo;y a pas de grande surprise, l&rsquo;\u00e9tape en Andorre sera 100% andorrane contrairement \u00e0 ce que l&rsquo;on imaginait. Ce qui explique que les coureurs iront bien \u00e0 Pau le soir de cette \u00e9tape pour y passer le jour de repos. Comme pr\u00e9vu aucune \u00e9tape ne d\u00e9passe les 200 kilom\u00e8tres.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Ce sera donc un contre-la-montre par \u00e9quipes qui ouvrira ce Tour d&rsquo;Espagne. 18 kilom\u00e8tres au d\u00e9part des Salinas de Torrevieja comme pr\u00e9vu et arriv\u00e9e dans la ville. Le lendemain, les coureurs auront d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e0 faire \u00e0 un final un peu cors\u00e9 autour de Calp avec passage, \u00e0 24 kilom\u00e8tres de l&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e, par l&rsquo;Alto de Puig Lloren\u00e7a, qui n&rsquo;est autre que la premi\u00e8re partie de l&rsquo;ascension de Cumbre del Sol. Les deux \u00e9tapes suivantes seront plut\u00f4t destin\u00e9es aux sprinteurs m\u00eame si en Espagne, rien n&rsquo;est jamais si s\u00fbr \u00e0 ce sujet. Le premier gros morceau sera pour la cinqui\u00e8me \u00e9tape avec l&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e in\u00e9dite de l&rsquo;Alto de Javalambre : 12 kilom\u00e8tres \u00e0 7% avec un sommet culminant \u00e0 1950m. d&rsquo;altitude. Le lendemain, on sera loin de ces altitudes mais il faudra tout de m\u00eame composer avec cinq derniers kilom\u00e8tres \u00e0 5 ou 6%. Vendredi, repecho typique \u00e0 l&rsquo;Espagnol \u00e0 Mas de la Costa, en bord de mer o\u00f9 le vent pourrait aussi jouer un r\u00f4le. Pas d&rsquo;explications entre favoris pr\u00e9vue le samedi \u00e0 Igualada mais le parcours ne sera pas de tout repos non plus. Pas s\u00fbr que les sprinteurs passent au travers. La derni\u00e8re \u00e9tape de cette premi\u00e8re semaine, 100% andorrane, moins de 100 kilom\u00e8tres, proposera comme promis Ordino, La Gallina, la Comella, l&rsquo;Engolasters, 4 kilom\u00e8tres de chemin de terre et enfin le final vers Cortals d&rsquo;Encamp. Probablement l&rsquo;\u00e9tape reine de cette Vuelta.<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s une journ\u00e9e de repos \u00e0 Pau, les coureurs auront droit \u00e0 36,1 kilom\u00e8tres de contre-la-montre individuel (trac\u00e9 diff\u00e9rent du Tour de France donc). En direction d&rsquo;Urdax-Dantxarinea le lendemain, ce devrait \u00eatre une \u00e9tape pour baroudeurs avec un final qui rappellera celui de 2016 o\u00f9 Valerio Conti s&rsquo;\u00e9tait impos\u00e9. Vers Bilbao ensuite la route ne sera pas plate et les baroudeurs seront de nouveau \u00e0 l&rsquo;honneur. Le vendredi de cette deuxi\u00e8me semaine, ce sera le monstre : Los Machucos et ses terribles pentes jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 28%. Les sprinteurs auront enfin leur mot \u00e0 dire le lendemain \u00e0 Oviedo. S&rsquo;en suivra les deux \u00e9tapes asturiennes que nous avions d\u00e9j\u00e0 d\u00e9crit avec la mont\u00e9e de l&rsquo;Alto de Acebo (9,8km \u00e0 8,2%), bien connu du Tour des Asturies puis le lendemain la Cubilla (20km \u00e0 5%). Jour de repos \u00e0 Burgos ensuite.<\/p>\n<p>La troisi\u00e8me semaine d\u00e9butera par une \u00e9tape de transition entre Aranda de Duero et Guadalaja. Apr\u00e8s \u00e7a, ce sera \u00ab\u00a0d\u00e9j\u00e0\u00a0\u00bb la derni\u00e8re grande explication entre leaders dans la Sierre de Guadarrama, l\u00e0 m\u00eame o\u00f9 Fabio Aru avait renvers\u00e9 La Vuelta 2015 et Tom Dumoulin la veille de l&rsquo;arriv\u00e9 \u00e0 Madrid. L&rsquo;\u00e9tape est d&rsquo;ailleurs quasiment identique avec la Navacerrada (9,4km \u00e0 6,6%), le Puerto de la Morcuera (11,5 km \u00e0 5,4%), une boucle pour faire demi-tour, puis le Puerto de la Morcuera de nouveau mais dans l\u2019autre sens (10,4km \u00e0 6,6%) et le Puerto de Cotos (11km \u00e0 5,3%) qui n\u2019est autre que la Navacerrada en sens inverse. L&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e n&rsquo;est pas \u00e0 Cercedilla comme en 2015 mais un peu plus loin, \u00e0\u00a0Becerril de la Sierra. \u00c0 Tol\u00e8de, les sprinteurs auront leur chance&#8230; s&rsquo;ils ont surv\u00e9cu. L&rsquo;explication finale aura donc lieu la veille de l&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e dans la Sierra de Gredos comme attendu. \u00c7a commencera \u00e0 grimper quasiment d&rsquo;entr\u00e9e avec le Puerto de Pedro Bernardo (1e cat\u00e9gorie), puis ce sera en dents de scie jusqu&rsquo;au difficile Puerto de la Pe\u00f1a Negra. C&rsquo;est sans doute l\u00e0 que les derni\u00e8res op\u00e9rations seront possibles. Au sommet il restera encore 34 kilom\u00e8tres mais sur un terrain jamais plat et avec un final au sommet de l&rsquo;Alto de Gredos (3e cat\u00e9gorie).
