Malgr\u00e9 la concurrence de la derni\u00e8re journ\u00e9e du Tour de France, et son traditionnel passage sur les Champs-Elys\u00e9es, la course d&rsquo;un jour saura attirer les foules gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une belle startlist. Le duo Elia Viviani (Quick-Step) &#8211; Sam Bennett, (Bora) qui a domin\u00e9 les sprints massifs sur le Giro, sera de la partie au m\u00eame titre que Mark Cavendish (Dimension Data) et Andr\u00e9 Greipel (Lotto-Soudal). Si les deux derniers cit\u00e9s \u00e9taient pr\u00e9sents sur le Tour de France, ils n&rsquo;y ont pas brill\u00e9 et ont quitt\u00e9 la course dans les Alpes. Ils viennent \u00e0 Londres pour tenter de se relancer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le parcours, long de 183 kilom\u00e8tres, s&rsquo;inspire de la course en ligne des Jeux qui avait vu gagner Alexandre Vinokourov. Le d\u00e9part est donn\u00e9 de Saint James Park. Les coureurs passeront donc dans le centre historique de Londres, laissant derri\u00e8re eux Buckingham Palace. Ils prendront ensuite la direction de l&rsquo;ouest et traverseront huit quartiers de la capitale britannique. Le peloton quittera ensuite Londres pour aller se frotter aux routes escarp\u00e9es de la province de Surrey. Au sommet de la derni\u00e8re des cinq bosses propos\u00e9es dans cet espace naturel situ\u00e9 au sud de Londres, les coureurs n&rsquo;auront plus que 32 kilom\u00e8tres de plat \u00e0 effectuer pour rallier la capitale et essayer de se disputer la victoire sur un sprint massif.
