Comme son nom l\u2019indique, elle se d\u00e9roule donc dans le massif des Apennins, plus sp\u00e9cifiquement dans l&rsquo;Apennin du Nord. L&rsquo;\u00e9preuve fut notamment le th\u00e9\u00e2tre des championnats d\u2019Italie en 1972 et 1989. Depuis 2005, et son int\u00e9gration \u00e0 l\u2019UCI Europe Tour, l\u2019\u00e9preuve est souvent partie de Novi Ligure. Cette ann\u00e9e, les coureurs retrouveront G\u00eanes comme ville-arriv\u00e9e, apr\u00e8s avoir rejoint Chiavari la saison derni\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le parcours sera d\u2019ailleurs largement modifi\u00e9 par rapport\u00a0 la derni\u00e8re \u00e9dition. Le parcours pr\u00e9sentera pas moins de sept ascensions r\u00e9pertori\u00e9es, dont la c\u00f4te de Bocchetta, de retour sur le trac\u00e9 apr\u00e8s trois ans. Dans un premier temps, il faudra couvrir une cinquantaine de kilom\u00e8tres sur le plat, avant d&rsquo;entamer\u00a0la\u00a0longue ascension du Passo Vastagnola, suivi de la premi\u00e8re mont\u00e9e du Passo Dei Giovi. Apr\u00e8s une descente, la mi-course atteinte, le peloton ira cherchera la Crocetta d&rsquo;Orero, \u00e0 la suite de quoi un deuxi\u00e8me passage par le Passo dei Giovi sera effectu\u00e9. Enfin, les coureurs iront chercher une ultime boucle, la plus dure, \u00e0 soixante kilom\u00e8tres de la ligne, avec l&rsquo;encha\u00eenement du Col de Bocchetta, le Franconalto ainsi que la la troisi\u00e8me et derni\u00e8re ascension du Passo dei Giovi, dont le sommet sera franchi \u00e0 trois bornes du but. De l\u00e0, il ne restera plus qu&rsquo;une longue descente, une portion de plat puis un dernier kilom\u00e8tre exigeant, puisqu&rsquo;en l\u00e9g\u00e8re mont\u00e9e.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Au terme des 195 kilom\u00e8tres au programme, un successeur est donc attendu \u00e0 Danilo Celano, qui avait surpris son monde l&rsquo;an pass\u00e9 en s&rsquo;imposant en solitaire,
