D\u00e9tails\u00a0:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Cr\u00e9\u00e9e en 1966, Tirreno-Adriatico est une \u00e9preuve italienne qui fait partie du calendrier WorldTour. Elle a la particularit\u00e9 d’avoir lieu \u00e0 cheval sur l’\u00e9preuve de Paris-Nice. Surnomm\u00e9e la ‘Course des deux mers’, son parcours d\u00e9marre des c\u00f4tes de la mer Tyrrh\u00e9nienne pour rejoindre celle de l’Adriatique apr\u00e8s sept jours de course. Comme Paris-Nice, c’est une \u00e9preuve de pr\u00e9paration en vue du printemps et notamment des classiques comme Milan-San Remo qui suit juste derri\u00e8re, mais c’est aussi l’occasion pour les coureurs qui ont les Grands Tours comme objectif, de s’affronter une premi\u00e8re fois sur une course montagneuse d’une semaine. En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es, l’\u00e9preuve italienne ne propose qu’une seule v\u00e9ritable \u00e9tape de montagne. Celle-ci avait d’ailleurs \u00e9t\u00e9 annul\u00e9e la saison pass\u00e9e, ce qui avait profit\u00e9 \u00e0 Greg Van Avermaet, vainqueur de l’\u00e9dition 2017.<\/p>\n

Cette ann\u00e9e, les organisateurs ont concoct\u00e9 un programme plut\u00f4t traditionnel avec un contre-la-montre par \u00e9quipes en ouverture \u00e0 Lido di Camaiore et un chrono individuel de cl\u00f4ture le dernier jour \u00e0 San Benedetto del Tronto. Ces deux exercices chronom\u00e9tr\u00e9s auront leur importance au classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral tout autant que l’\u00e9tape reine qui arrivera au Terminillo. Un col que Nairo Quintana avait dompt\u00e9 en 2015 sous la neige, forgeant son succ\u00e8s dans l’\u00e9preuve transalpine. Il faudra aussi se m\u00e9fier de l’\u00e9tape de Pomarance le deuxi\u00e8me jour et de son final loin d’\u00eatre plat, et surtout de l’\u00e9tape de Fermo, au lendemain du Terminillo, qui promet un final anim\u00e9 avec son profil vallonn\u00e9. Les \u00e9tapes de Montalto di Castro et de Civitanova Marche ont \u00e9t\u00e9 coch\u00e9s par les sprinteurs qui font eux aussi le d\u00e9placement chaque ann\u00e9e pour ramener un ou deux bouquets.<\/p>\n
