Il est constitu\u00e9 de deux boucles. Une premi\u00e8re, sans relief, de 22,3km \u00e0 effectuer 4 fois et une deuxi\u00e8me boucle de 27,5km \u00e0 effectuer \u00e9galement quatre fois. C&rsquo;est dans celle-ci bien entendu qu&rsquo;est concentr\u00e9 toute la difficult\u00e9 avec l&rsquo;ascension du Posto a Fornello, une ascension de 3,5km \u00e0 5% de moyenne. Le sommet est situ\u00e9 \u00e0 6,5km de la ligne mais la descente qui s&rsquo;ensuit est assez technique et \u00e0 la fin de celle-ci, il ne reste plus qu&rsquo;\u00e0 peine 2 kilom\u00e8tres jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 la ligne d&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e. C&rsquo;est ce type de parcours, propice aux grimpeurs audacieux, qui a permis \u00e0 Adam Yates (Mitchelton &#8211; Scott) de s&rsquo;imposer \u00e0 deux reprises sur l&rsquo;\u00e9preuve. Il viendra une nouvelle fois d\u00e9fendre son titre et sera oppos\u00e9 \u00e0 des coureurs comme Rafal Majka (Bora &#8211; Hansgrohe), Andrey Amador (Movistar), Mattia Cattaneo (Androni Giocattoli &#8211; Sidermec), un Giovanni Visconti (Bahrain &#8211; Merida) tr\u00e8s en forme mais sans doute \u00e9puis\u00e9 par sa performance sur les Strade Bianche, ou encore Jhonatan Restrepo (Katusha
