Le succ\u00e8s de l&rsquo;\u00e9preuve est relativement rapide et les grands coureurs y inscrivent leur nom au palmar\u00e8s comme les Suisses Ferdi K\u00fcbler et Hugo Koblet mais aussi les Italiens Gino Bartali, Vitorrio Adorni et Felice Gimondi ou encore plus tard les francophones Eddy Merckx, Bernard Th\u00e9venet et Bernard Hinault pour ne citer qu&rsquo;eux. Depuis la cr\u00e9ation du WorldTour, le Tour de Romandie y est inscrit et cette \u00e9preuve fait la transition entre la fin du printemps des classiques et le commencement des Grands Tours, puisqu&rsquo;elle d\u00e9bute juste apr\u00e8s Li\u00e8ge-Bastogne-Li\u00e8ge et devance d&rsquo;une semaine le Grand D\u00e9part du Giro d&rsquo;Italia.<\/p>\n<p>Comme chaque ann\u00e9e, le Tour de Romandie proposera un parcours pour coureurs complets avec deux \u00e9tapes de montagne et deux contre-la-montre. Les coureurs d\u00e9buteront par un prologue de 4,8 kilom\u00e8tres \u00e0 Aigle avant une \u00e9tape qui pourrait d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00eatre d\u00e9cisive avec l&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e en altitude \u00e0 Champ\u00e9ry. Les sprinteurs auront des ouvertures les deux jours suivants sur des \u00e9tapes ind\u00e9cises car accident\u00e9es mais sans grand col majeur. Il y aura le cinqui\u00e8me jour, qui sera probablement consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme l&rsquo;\u00e9tape reine, avec un encha\u00eenement de quatre difficult\u00e9s\u00a0: le Jaunpass, le Saanenm\u00f6ser, le Col du Pillon et l&rsquo;ascension finale vers Leysen. Les coureurs rejoindront ensuite Lausanne pour le chrono final de 18,3 kilom\u00e8tres o\u00f9 les derni\u00e8res diff\u00e9rences devraient \u00eatre faites. L&rsquo;an dernier, Nairo Quintana avait pris le meilleur sur Thibaut Pinot mais les deux hommes ne seront pas pr\u00e9sents cette ann\u00e9e. Troisi\u00e8me en 2016, Ion Izagirre pourrait bien profiter de ses absences pour remporter un succ\u00e8s au classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral d&rsquo;une \u00e9preuve WorldTour cette
