Il y pointe notamment les co\u00fbts exorbitants que n\u00e9cessitent l&rsquo;organisation d&rsquo;une telle \u00e9preuve et invite \u00e0 envisager un nouveau mod\u00e8le.\u00a0\u00ab <em>J&rsquo;esp\u00e8re bien qu&rsquo;ils seront en mesure de ramener la course en 2021<\/em>, note Vaughters en pr\u00e9ambule. <em>Le cyclisme aux \u00c9tats-Unis est un march\u00e9 diff\u00e9rent de ce qu&rsquo;il est dans beaucoup d&rsquo;autres endroits. Nous n&rsquo;aurons jamais de grandes courses soutenues par l&rsquo;Etat, comme cette nouvelle course en Arabie Saoudite ou le UAE Tour. Les municipalit\u00e9s ne parrainent pas le cyclisme. Notre syst\u00e8me politique ne le permet pas et tout doit venir de dollars compl\u00e8tement priv\u00e9s.<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Un mod\u00e8le qui permet la r\u00e9ussite d&rsquo;\u00e9preuves hybrides, comme Dirty Kanza ou Leadville 100, o\u00f9 la participation est payante. Mais pas celle de courses par \u00e9tapes, malgr\u00e9 la pr\u00e9sence du gratin mondial au d\u00e9part. \u00ab <em>Je n&rsquo;ai pas les chiffres exacts, mais le Tour de Californie co\u00fbte probablement presque aussi cher que le Tour de France. Je sais que cela semble ridicule, mais c&rsquo;est sans doute la v\u00e9rit\u00e9<\/em>, poursuit Vaughters, toujours pour <em>Cyclingnews<\/em>. <em>En France, le gouvernement soutient la course au nom du patrimoine, de la culture fran\u00e7aise. Aux Etats-Unis, il faut payer pour fermer les routes, les zones de d\u00e9part, d&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e&#8230; Il est beaucoup plus difficile d&rsquo;y organiser de grands \u00e9v\u00e9nements.
