Disput\u00e9 \u00e0 un \u00e9chelon continental dans les ann\u00e9es 1990, le Tour de Croatie \u00e9preuve avait disparu des radars apr\u00e8s la victoire de Simone Mori en 2001. Puis, disput\u00e9e \u00e0 une seule reprise entre 2002 et 2014 (2007), elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 remise au go\u00fbt du jour en 2015 par l\u2019un des meilleurs coureurs croates de l\u2019histoire, le vainqueur de l\u2019\u00e9dition 1998 Vladimir Milholjevic. Ce dernier a permis \u00e0 son tour national de faire un joli retour au calendrier il y a quatre ans en montant une course par \u00e9tapes r\u00e9pertori\u00e9e en classe 1. Comme ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, la course aura lieu sur six jours.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pourtant, cette \u00e9dition 2019 ne se pr\u00e9sentait pas sous les meilleurs auspices puisque la course, initialement pr\u00e9vue en avril, avait \u00e9t\u00e9 annul\u00e9e et report\u00e9e \u00e0 quelques jours seulement du d\u00e9part, ceci en raison de probl\u00e8mes financiers et administratifs (lire <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cyclingpro.net\/velopro\/course\/tour-of-croatia\/le-tour-de-croatie-annule-une-nouvelle-date-fixee\/\">ICI<\/a><\/strong>). Finalement d\u00e9plac\u00e9e d\u00e9but octobre, et sous l&rsquo;appellation CRO Race, l&rsquo;\u00e9preuve rassemblera tout de m\u00eame quatre \u00e9quipes WorldTour et cinq formations de deuxi\u00e8me division.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Pour conna\u00eetre le successeur \u00e0 Konstantin Siutsou, suspendu pour dopage, il faudra surtout se pencher sur la cinqui\u00e8me \u00e9tape, qui proposera deux vraies ascensions et une arriv\u00e9e au sommet. Avant cela, les sprinteurs auront sans doute le temps de batailler lors des deux premiers actes alors que les puncheurs pourront profiter d&rsquo;une bosse (5km \u00e0 5%) dans le final de la troisi\u00e8me \u00e9tape pour tenter de d\u00e9crocher un succ\u00e8s. Le lendemain, le profil se pr\u00eate une nouvelle fois aux hommes rapides mais le final vallonn\u00e9 pourrait rebattre les cartes \u00e0 la veille de l&rsquo;\u00e9tape reine. Celle-ci emm\u00e8nera les coureurs de Rabac \u00e0 Platak au terme de 138 kilom\u00e8tres et l&rsquo;ascension finale (14 km \u00e0 5,2%) devrait dessiner le classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral final de ce Tour de Croatie. En effet, le lendemain, ce sont \u00e0 nouveau les sprinteurs qui sont attendus \u00e0 Zagreb, o\u00f9 les 500 derniers m\u00e8tres seront en faux-plat.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s1\">Parmi les favoris \u00e0 la victoire finale, on pense naturellement \u00e0 Adam Yates, qui sera \u00e9paul\u00e9 par le prometteur hongrois Barnabas Peak, stagiaire chez Mitchelton-Scott. Chez Astana, Davide Villella devrait avoir carte blanche alors que la CCC pourra compter sur Riccardo Zoidl, Amaro Antunes, Victor De La Parte, Serge Pauwels ou encore Georg Zimmermann, son stagiaire.
