Outre les ch\u00e2teaux cathares qui borderont la route, les coureurs seront surtout concentr\u00e9s sur les quatre ascensions qui les attendent.\u00a0Il faudra ainsi avaler un total de 4700 m\u00e8tres de d\u00e9nivel\u00e9 positif. La route s&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e8vera peu apr\u00e8s le d\u00e9part avec la mont\u00e9e non r\u00e9pertori\u00e9e du Col des Tougnets. La C\u00f4te de Monts\u00e9gur (2e cat., 6,8km \u00e0 6%) attribuera les premiers points de la montagne au km60,5 en m\u00eame temps qu&rsquo;elle testera les jambes des coureurs apr\u00e8s la magnifique \u00e9tape de la veille. Une fois le sommet pass\u00e9, le peloton \u00e9voluera sur une portion de vall\u00e9e jusqu&rsquo;au sprint interm\u00e9diaire de Tarascon-sur-Ari\u00e8ge au km93,5. Apr\u00e8s ce point, il n&rsquo;y aura plus un m\u00e8tre de plat. Il faudra alors escalader trois cols de premi\u00e8re cat\u00e9gorie dans les 80 derniers kilom\u00e8tres. A commencer par le Port de Lers (11,4km \u00e0 7%). Le terrain id\u00e9al pour commencer \u00e0 durcir la course avant l&rsquo;ascension du Mur de P\u00e9gu\u00e8re (9,3km \u00e0 7,9%). Au sommet, 8, 5 et 2 secondes de bonification seront attribu\u00e9es. De quoi inciter les leaders \u00e0 se d\u00e9voiler de bonne heure. Pass\u00e9e la longue descente qui suit, les coureurs arriveront au pied de la mont\u00e9e finale : le Prat d&rsquo;Albis (11,8km \u00e0 6,9%). Les 4e et 6e kilom\u00e8tres d&rsquo;ascension sont les plus durs avec une moyenne sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 10%. La fin de la difficult\u00e9 est moins exigeante, les derniers kilom\u00e8tres oscillant entre 6 et 7% avant une derni\u00e8re borne \u00e0 \u00ab\u00a0seulement\u00a0\u00bb 3%. Les purs grimpeurs devront donc faire la diff\u00e9rence avant la flamme rouge.<\/p>\n<h6><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cyclingpro.net\/velopro\/course\/tour-de-france\/le-classement-des-favoris-du-tour-pinot-et-alaphilippe-rayonnent-thomas-perd-du-terrain\/\">Lire aussi &gt; Le classement des favoris : Pinot et Alaphilippe rayonnent, Thomas perd du terrain<\/a><\/strong><\/h6>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Plusieurs sc\u00e9narios sont possibles sur un tel parcours. Tout d\u00e9pendra alors de l&rsquo;attitude des favoris pour le classement g\u00e9n\u00e9ral. L&rsquo;\u00e9quipe Ineos sera-t-elle revancharde apr\u00e8s que Geraint Thomas a conc\u00e9d\u00e9 une trentaine de secondes la veille ? Si oui, les hommes de Dave Brailsford pourraient bien dynamiter la course de loin et condamner l&rsquo;\u00e9chapp\u00e9e. Jakob Fuglsang a \u00e9galement perdu du terrain et dispose d&rsquo;une \u00e9quipe tr\u00e8s forte. Les battus de la quatorzi\u00e8me \u00e9tape pourraient ainsi \u00eatre les gagnants de la quinzi\u00e8me. Ils pourraient aussi attendre la journ\u00e9e de repos et passer \u00e0 l&rsquo;attaque dans les Alpes. Auquel cas, l&rsquo;\u00e9chapp\u00e9e aurait toutes ses chances d&rsquo;aller au bout. Thomas De Gendt (Lotto Soudal) sera alors \u00e0 surveiller de pr\u00e8s. Vainqueur \u00e0 Foix en 2017, Warren Barguil (Ark\u00e9a-Samsic) a termin\u00e9 9e hier et semble avoir retrouv\u00e9 ses bonnes jambes. Vincenzo Nibali (Bahrain-Merida), Jesus Herrada (Cofidis), Gregor M\u00fchlberger (Bora-hansgrohe) ont tous d\u00e9j\u00e0 tent\u00e9 leur chance en partant de loin et trouveront l\u00e0 un bon terrain pour briller. Aussi, les hommes d&rsquo;AG2R-La Mondiale sont oblig\u00e9s de tenter maintenant que Romain Bardet est hors course. Si le d\u00e9bours conc\u00e9d\u00e9 par Adam Yates est moins important, les Mitchelton-Scott se montreront sans doute \u00e0 l&rsquo;avant. Simon Yates et Jack Haig seront alors \u00e0 suivre de pr\u00e8s.
