Cr\u00e9\u00e9e en 1945 sous le nom de Bruxelles \u2013 Ingooigem, Halle \u2013 Ingooigem est une semi-classique belge de classe 1. Elle porte son nom actuel depuis 2006, soit un an apr\u00e8s avoir int\u00e9gr\u00e9 l\u2019UCI Europe Tour.\u00a0Souvent plac\u00e9e la m\u00eame semaine que la majorit\u00e9 des championnats nationaux europ\u00e9ens, l\u2019\u00e9preuve avait \u00e9t\u00e9 avanc\u00e9e d’une semaine en 2018 pour ne pas perturber ceux-ci. N\u00e9anmoins, l’exp\u00e9rience n’a pu \u00eatre renouvel\u00e9e cette saison en raison de la multitude de courses d\u00e9j\u00e0 pr\u00e9vues dans le courant de la semaine pass\u00e9e.<\/p>\n

Malgr\u00e9 ses diff\u00e9rents monts, l’\u00e9preuve a souvent souri \u00e0 des sprinteurs. Ce devrait \u00eatre le cas cette ann\u00e9e encore puisque le parcours est similaire \u00e0 celui de l\u2019an pass\u00e9. Il y aura donc les franchissements de quelques monts sur le trac\u00e9 comme le Knokteberg, la Hellestraat, ou encore la Holstraat et le Tiegemberg situ\u00e9s dans le circuit final. Apr\u00e8s une centaine de kilom\u00e8tres en ligne, le peloton s\u2019engagera dans une premi\u00e8re boucle de 25 kilom\u00e8tres avant d\u2019entamer le circuit final de 17,7 kilom\u00e8tres \u00e0 parcourir \u00e0 quatre reprises. Une bataille de sprinteurs est attendue, mais le tenant du titre Danny van Poppel ne sera pas pr\u00e9sent pour d\u00e9fendre sa couronne, pas plus que son \u00e9quipe Jumbo-Visma.<\/p>\n

Second l’an pass\u00e9, Fabio Jakobsen fait donc figure de favori, d’autant qu’il sera \u00e9paul\u00e9 par une tr\u00e8s forte \u00e9quipe Deceuninck-Quick Step, qui compte par ailleurs une autre carte au sprint avec Alvaro Hodeg. Parmi ses concurrents, on peut citer Jakub Mareczko (CCC), Bryan Coquard (Vital Concept-B&B Hotels), Timothy Dupont (Wanty-Groupe Gobert), Hugo Hofstetter (Cofidis), Michael Van Staeyen (Roompot-Charles), Tim Merlier (Corendon-Circus), Baptiste Planckaert (Wallonie-Bruxelles) mais aussi la s\u00e9lection belge qui tentera sans nul doute d’animer la course avec notamment Jens Keukeleire, Jens Debusschere, Oliver Naesen et Jasper Stuyven.<\/p>\n
