Apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;abandon de Tony Gallopin au km15 de la 16e \u00e9tape, l&rsquo;autre leader des Ciel et Terre a v\u00e9cu un enfer sur les pentes du Mortirolo. 18e du g\u00e9n\u00e9ral au d\u00e9part, Alexis Vuillermoz y a \u00e9t\u00e9 victime d&rsquo;une violente crise d&rsquo;asthme. A tel point qu&rsquo;il a perdu le contr\u00f4le de sa machine, tombant dans le ravin sur les pourcentages les plus violents. Apr\u00e8s avoir attendu la voiture du m\u00e9decin, il a pu repartir et en a termin\u00e9 \u00e0 32&rsquo;47\u00a0\u00bb du vainqueur Giulio Ciccone. Vuillermoz recule alors \u00e0 la 31e place du g\u00e9n\u00e9ral. Un moindre mal, alors qu&rsquo;il aurait pu \u00eatre contraint \u00e0 l&rsquo;abandon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00ab <em>J&rsquo;ai fait une crise d&rsquo;asthme d\u00e8s le pied du Mortirolo et cela m&rsquo;a fait chuter, heureusement sans gravit\u00e9. Je veux simplement remercier l&rsquo;organisation du Giro, mais \u00e9galement les copains de l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe et la direction sportive pour m&rsquo;avoir mis en s\u00e9curit\u00e9 \u00e0 ce moment-l\u00e0. J&rsquo;ai pu repartir malgr\u00e9 tout.
