Cr\u00e9\u00e9e en l\u2019an 2000, la Classic Loire-Atlantique est une \u00e9preuve fran\u00e7aise qui a int\u00e9gr\u00e9 le calendrier de la Coupe de France de cyclisme en 2012. Il s\u2019agit de la troisi\u00e8me manche de la comp\u00e9tition, apr\u00e8s le Grand Prix La Marseillaise et le Grand Prix de Denain. Cette course ouverte aux professionnels depuis 2002 se d\u00e9roulait souvent en m\u00eame temps que Milan-San Remo, mais depuis 2018, elle a \u00e9vite la collusion avec la Primavera pour se retrouver intercal\u00e9e entre deux Classiques Flandriennes et pendant le Tour de Catalogne.<\/p>\n

Le parcours de l\u2019\u00e9preuve consiste depuis quelques ann\u00e9es en un circuit de 16,8 kilom\u00e8tres \u00e0 parcourir \u00e0 11 reprises. Trac\u00e9 \u00e0 travers les communes de La Haye-Fouassi\u00e8re, le lieu de d\u00e9part et d\u2019arriv\u00e9e, Saint-Fiacre-sur-Maine, Maisdon-sur-S\u00e8vre, Ch\u00e2teau-Th\u00e9baud et Vertou, le circuit pr\u00e9sente un profil particuli\u00e8rement bossel\u00e9 favorable aux attaquants ainsi qu\u2019aux puncheurs. Il faut dire que les c\u00f4tes r\u00e9pertori\u00e9es \u00e0 Ch\u00e2teau-Th\u00e9baud et Saint-Fiacre-sur-Maine, mais aussi la derni\u00e8re petite bosse menant \u00e0 La Haye-Fouassi\u00e8re, usent les organismes au fur et \u00e0 mesure des passages.<\/p>\n

La r\u00e8gle veut m\u00eame qu\u2019il n\u2019y ait jamais eu de sprint d\u2019un grand groupe de coureurs pour la victoire. Une r\u00e8gle qui a presque \u00e9t\u00e9 contredite les deux saisons pass\u00e9es, mais Laurent Pichon et Rasmus Quaade avaient chacun devanc\u00e9 de quelques m\u00e8tres 20-30 coureurs sur la ligne pour s’adjuger le succ\u00e8s. Avant ces deux derniers crus, sept des huit \u00e9ditions pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes s\u2019\u00e9taient aussi conclues par une victoire en solitaire. Ne reste plus \u00e0 savoir ce que nous r\u00e9serve la course en 2019.<\/p>\n
