D\u00e9part relativement matinal et \u00e9tape courte avec une boucle de 138,5 kilom\u00e8tres qui ram\u00e8nera les coureurs dans la commune des Yvelines un peu avant 15 heures pour se disputer l&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e non loin du magnifique ch\u00e2teau de Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Ce genre d&rsquo;entame rappelle forc\u00e9ment un peu \u00e0 tous la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape de Paris-Nice 2017, autour de\u00a0Bois-d&rsquo;Arcy. Une journ\u00e9e qui aurait d\u00fb se conclure par un \u00ab\u00a0simple\u00a0\u00bb sprint mais qui a vite d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9e en un immense \u00ab\u00a0chantier\u00a0\u00bb, comme on dit dans le jargon, avec un certain nombre de leaders perdant d\u00e9j\u00e0 tout espoir au g\u00e9n\u00e9ral et seulement une dizaine de coureurs dans le premier groupe \u00e0 l&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e, pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 de Arnaud D\u00e9mare et Julian Alaphilippe, dans cet ordre \u00e0 l&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e. Si la pluie est annonc\u00e9e dans la matin\u00e9e, elle devrait s&rsquo;interrompre un peu avant le d\u00e9part et laisser champs libre pour la course. Le vent pourrait par contre bien \u00eatre de la partie. Et il devrait \u00eatre de c\u00f4t\u00e9 la majeure partie du temps puisqu&rsquo;il viendra de l&rsquo;Ouest. On parlait d&rsquo;Arnaud D\u00e9mare (Groupama &#8211; FDJ) et \u00e7a fait deux ans qu&rsquo;il s&rsquo;est fait une sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9 de remporter la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape de Paris-Nice et de prendre le maillot jaune qui va avec. Une chose est s\u00fbre en tout cas, c&rsquo;est qu&rsquo;en cas d&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e massive, les sprinteurs auront un super terrain d&rsquo;expression avec une ligne droite finale de 2 kilom\u00e8tres.
