Infatti sembra ormai definita la scelta della <\/span><b>Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> di dividere i due principali velocisti per il 2026, mettendo a disposizione per ciascuno un treno dedicato per provare a lasciare il segno negli sprint. Una decisione che sarebbe arrivata dopo che il 32enne neerlandese <a href=\"https:\/\/cyclingpro.net\/spaziociclismo\/worldtour\/red-bull-bora-hansgrohe-danny-van-poppel-tornera-a-fare-il-velocista-nel-2026-non-faro-piu-il-gregario-al-tour-ma-potro-cogliere-le-mie-opportunita-al-giro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ha manifestato la volont\u00e0 di tornare a essere il velocista di riferimento<\/a>, mettendo da parte il lavoro da gregario svolto nelle ultime stagioni. Una scelta che permetterebbe cos\u00ec di evitare scontri per il ruolo di sprinter designato e mantenere quindi un clima armonioso nel team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A riportare la notizia \u00e8 <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wielerflits.nl\/nieuws\/jordi-meeus-heeft-geen-moeite-met-harde-woorden-danny-van-poppel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WielerFlits<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, che ha intervistato in due momenti diversi entrambi i protagonisti. Le prime parole sono state quelle di <strong>Danny van Poppel<\/strong> che al portale belga aveva cos\u00ec spiegato la decisione di rinunciare al ruolo di lead-out per <strong>Meeus<\/strong>: \u201c<\/span><b>Ho pensato che aspetter\u00f2 che arrivi il velocista di livello mondiale che spero un giorno avremo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, ma per meno di cos\u00ec non lo far\u00f2 pi\u00f9\u201d. Dichiarazioni forti nei confronti del compagno di squadra belga, ritenuto quindi non all\u2019altezza del ruolo. Per questo il neerlandese ha dichiarato di concentrarsi sul <strong>Giro d\u2019Italia<\/strong>, per provare a lasciare il segno in prima persona.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">La risposta di <strong>Meeus<\/strong> \u00e8 arrivata, che con toni pacati ha spiegato i motivi per cui non sono arrivati i risultati previsti: \u201c<\/span><b>Non l\u2019ho presa sul personale<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8211; ha raccontato al portale belga &#8211; <\/span><b>Io stesso so di non essere il pi\u00f9 veloce in assoluto del gruppo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. So anche che faccio fatica a vincere partendo dalla seconda ruota. Devo pi\u00f9 che altro rimontare da dietro con velocit\u00e0. \u00c8 cos\u00ec che ho vinto la maggior parte delle mie volate. Credo di non mentire se dico che le possibilit\u00e0 sono maggiori quando Jasper Philipsen o Olav Kooij escono dalla ruota di Danny, piuttosto che quando lo faccio io\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Un feeling quindi mai arrivato tra i due e da qui la scelta del team di creare due treni separati, per sfruttare al meglio le caratteristiche di entrambi, come ha confermato <strong>Meeus<\/strong>: \u201cPenso che all\u2019interno del team ci sia spazio per due treni per le volate. A volte infatti affrontiamo un programma triplo. Le corse non mancheranno\u201d. Una strategia confermata anche dai colpi di CicloMercato della Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe, che ha infatti preso <\/span><b>Arne Marit<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> dalla Intermarch\u00e9-Wanty per essere l\u2019ultimo uomo di Meeus, mentre <\/span><b>Haimar Etxeberria<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, ex Equipo Kern Pharma, sar\u00e0 al fianco di van Poppel. Inoltre, per supportare il reparto, \u00e8 arrivato anche <\/span><b>Jarrad Drizners <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">dalla
