In quell&#8217;occasione, Chris Froome fu protagonista di un episodio passato alla storia, quando a causa di un incidente con una moto ruppe la bici e fu costretto a correre a piedi per un tratto di salita. Nei primi 135 chilometri dopo la partenza da <strong>Montpellier<\/strong>, infatti, il percorso sar\u00e0 per lo pi\u00f9 pianeggiante o al massimo lievemente ondulato, oltre che piuttosto lineare anche a livello planimetrico, proponendo quale unico spunto di interesse il traguardo volante di <strong>Ch\u00e2teauneuf-du-Pape<\/strong> ai -59,1 dalla conclusione, che far\u00e0 gola a coloro in lotta per la Maglia Verde. Nell&#8217;avvicinamento allo sprint intermedio e nei chilometri precedenti all&#8217;inizio della salita finale i corridori dovrebbero trovare vento laterale che potrebbe anche spezzare il gruppo, con la strada che inizier\u00e0 anche a salire leggermente quando mancheranno all&#8217;incirca 37 chilometri all&#8217;arrivo.<\/p>\n<p>Giunti a Saint-Est\u00e8ve le pendenze si faranno pi\u00f9 arcigne e inizier\u00e0 la vera e propria ascesa del <strong>Mont Ventoux<\/strong>, affrontata dal versante classico di B\u00e9doin, lungo 15,7 chilometri, con una pendenza media dell&#8217;8,8% e punta del 12,4%. I primi 8000 metri saranno quelli pi\u00f9 impegnativi, con pendenze quasi sempre attorno al 9% e diversi tratti in doppia cifra, mentre in seguito, prima e dopo il passaggio da Chalet Reynard, si salir\u00e0 attorno al 6-7%. In tal caso, sembra altrettanto complicato pensare che non ci sar\u00e0 un nuovo duello tra <strong>Tadej Poga\u010dar<\/strong> (UAE Team Emirates XRG) e <strong>Jonas Vingegaard<\/strong> (Visma | Lease a Bike), con lo sloveno che parte favorito vista la superiorit\u00e0 dimostrata finora in salita. Il campione del mondo si \u00e8 imposto su tanti traguardi prestigiosi ma quello del Mont Ventoux ancora gli manca, dunque sicuramente prover\u00e0 a lasciare il segno, anche per &#8220;riscattare&#8221; quanto accaduto nel 2021, quando sulle dure rampe del Gigante della Provenza ebbe una piccola crisi (che alla fine, comunque, non gli cost\u00f2 nulla in termine di tempo) a causa proprio di un attacco del danese.<\/p>\n<p>Vingegaard, d&#8217;altra parte, cercher\u00e0 quella vittoria che possa far svoltare il suo Tour, che finora lo ha sempre visto pagare dazio nei confronti della Maglia Gialla e secondo di tappa in ben tre occasioni. Il 28enne, che in classifica generale deve recuperare pi\u00f9 di quattro minuti a Poga\u010dar, ha dichiarato di voler tentare il tutto per tutto per cercare di ribaltare la situazione e questa \u00e8 sicuramente la prima occasione buona per provarci. A livello di squadra, il portacolori della Visma ha a disposizione forti scalatori come <strong>Matteo Jorgenson<\/strong>, <strong>Sepp Kuss<\/strong> e <strong>Simon Yates<\/strong>, ma per loro potrebbe essere complicato muoversi in anticipo per eventualmente fungere da punto d&#8217;appoggio al danese, mentre saranno pi\u00f9 probabilmente utili per fare il forcing in salita e lanciare l&#8217;attacco del loro capitano.<\/p>\n<p>In salita, la terza forza alle spalle dei vincitori degli ultimi cinque Tour \u00e8 fin qui stato <strong>Florian Lipowitz<\/strong> (Red Bull-Bora-hansgrohe). Il tedesco, attualmente sul podio e in Maglia Bianca, ha confermato di possedere qualit\u00e0 importanti e di avere un&#8217;ottima condizione, dunque possiamo attendercelo nuovamente tra i migliori, anche se sar\u00e0 difficile lottare per la vittoria contro i due fenomeni sopracitati. Assieme a lui, per la formazione tedesca punter\u00e0 a un bel risultato con l&#8217;obiettivo soprattutto di risalire in classifica generale e agguantare la top-5, anche <strong>Primo\u017e Rogli\u010d<\/strong>, che finora si \u00e8 soprattutto difeso con esperienza, ma che appare in crescita e sa certamente come gestirsi bene sulle tre settimane.<\/p>\n<p>La lotta per la top-5 nella generale vede coinvolti anche corridori fin qui protagonisti di una corsa molto positiva, ovvero <strong>Oscar Onley<\/strong> (Team Picnic PostNL), <strong>Felix Gall<\/strong> (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale) e <strong>Tobias Halland Johannessen<\/strong> (Uno-X Mobility), ottimi scalatori che hanno le qualit\u00e0 per poter far bene in questa giornata, oltre a\u00a0e <strong>K\u00e9vin Vauquelin<\/strong> (Ark\u00e9a-B&amp;B Hotels), che, pur abile in salita, dovr\u00e0 invece probabilmente difendersi sulle dure rampe del Monte Calvo. In difesa giocheranno anche un <strong>Carlos Rodriguez<\/strong> (Ineos Grenadiers) finora non brillantissimo e un <strong>Ben Healy<\/strong> (EF Education-EasyPost) che su queste salite deve ancora testarsi, con i due che al momento chiudono una top-10 nella quale ambisce ad entrare un sorprendente <strong>Jordan Jegat<\/strong> (TotalEnergies), che non avendo nulla da perdere potrebbe essere protagonista di una gara d&#8217;attacco.<\/p>\n<p>Anticipare, comunque, non sar\u00e0 semplice visto il poco terreno favorevole per quegli scalatori che potrebbero voler muoversi da lontano, ma in ogni caso non \u00e8 da escludere che una fuga ben organizzata non possa permettere a qualcuno di approcciare la salita finale con un po&#8217; di margine sui big e provare cos\u00ec a giocarsi il successo di tappa. Temperatura prevista: minima 24\u00b0 C, massima 29\u00b0 C.<\/p>\n<h2>Maggiori insidie Sedicesima Tappa Tour de France 2025<\/h2>\n<p>Ovviamente, l&#8217;ascesa finale del Mont Ventoux rappresenter\u00e0 la grande difficolt\u00e0 di giornata viste le impegnative pendenze spesso sopra al 9% (e talvolta anche in doppia cifra) e la presenza del vento, che si far\u00e0 sentire soprattutto nella seconda met\u00e0 della scalata e che probabilmente sar\u00e0 contrario alla marcia dei corridori. Il vento sar\u00e0 un fattore da tenere in considerazione anche nel tratto di avvicinamento alla salita, dove dovrebbe essere laterale e far cos\u00ec aumentare il nervosismo (e, di conseguenza, il pericolo cadute) in gruppo.
