La Regina delle Classiche <strong>domenica 7 aprile<\/strong> scriver\u00e0 la parola fine sull&#8217;intensa campagna del pav\u00e9 di questa primavera. In programma ci sono con <strong>260 chilometri<\/strong> che collegheranno la ormai sede storica di partenza di Compi\u00e8gne al velodromo della cittadina del Nord della Francia. I settori in pav\u00e9 da percorrere quest&#8217;anno saranno ancora 29. Un totale di <strong>55,7 chilometri<\/strong> <strong>di pietre<\/strong> <strong>spietate<\/strong> che caratterizzano una corsa iconica e leggendaria, patrimonio del ciclismo internazionale. La novit\u00e0 sulla bocca di tutti alla vigilia di questa edizione \u00e8 l&#8217;inedita chicane all&#8217;imbocco del terribile tratto in pav\u00e9 della Foresta di Arenberg.<\/p>\n<h2>Percorso Parigi &#8211; Roubaix 2024<\/h2>\n<p>Anche per questa edizione, come accade ormai da quasi 50 anni, l&#8217;Inferno del Nord partir\u00e0 da <strong>Compi\u00e8gne<\/strong>, con i primi 96,3 chilometri di gara che vedranno il gruppo pedalare solo su asfalto. Un tratto iniziale che dovrebbe consentire a coloro che vogliono provare ad anticipare di attaccare e di acquisire diversi minuti di vantaggio, anche se, come dimostrato lo scorso anno, non \u00e8 da escludere che la corsa possa gi\u00e0 accendersi se ci dovesse essere del vento laterale. Arrivati a <strong>Troisville<\/strong>, i corridori affronteranno il primo tratto di pav\u00e9, il numero 29, che si concluder\u00e0 a <strong>Inchy<\/strong> dopo 2200 metri e sar\u00e0 seguito da quello da <strong>Viesly<\/strong> a <strong>Qui\u00e9vy<\/strong> (1,8 km, tre stelle di difficolt\u00e0 come il tratto precedente). Poi sar\u00e0 la volta di quello da <strong>Qui\u00e9vy<\/strong> a <strong>Saint-Python<\/strong> (il pi\u00f9 lungo assieme al numero 17 con i suoi 3700 metri, quattro stelle) e di quello di <b>Briastre<\/b>, nuova aggiunta di questa edizione, con i suoi 3 km e tre stelle di difficolt\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p>Pochi chilometri su strada &#8220;normale&#8221; e sar\u00e0 la volta del settore da <strong>Vertain<\/strong> a <strong>Saint-Martin-sur-\u00c9caillon <\/strong>(2,3 km e tre stelle), seguito dal numero 24 che collega <strong>Capelle-sur-\u00c9caillon <\/strong>e<strong> Ruesnes<\/strong>. Un altro breve tratto su asfalto porter\u00e0 il gruppo sul pav\u00e9 a due stelle di difficolt\u00e0 di <strong>Artres &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong> <strong>Qu\u00e9r\u00e9naing<\/strong> che verr\u00e0 seguito in rapidissima successione dai due settori a tre stelle di difficolt\u00e0 di\u00a0<strong>Qu\u00e9r\u00e9naing \u2013 <\/strong><strong>Maing<\/strong> (2,5 km) e <strong>Maing \u2013 Monchaux-sur-\u00c9caillon <\/strong>(1,6 km). Dopo questa tripletta di stradine in pav\u00e9, che accompagner\u00e0 i corridori nella seconda met\u00e0 di gara, ci saranno circa 12 chilometri pi\u00f9 tranquilli prima dell&#8217;impegnativo <strong>Haveluy \u2013 <\/strong><strong>Wallers<\/strong> (2500 metri, quattro stelle), antipasto di quello che il gruppo si trover\u00e0 ad affrontare pochi chilometri pi\u00f9 tardi.<\/p>\n<p>Quando ne mancheranno poco meno di 100 all&#8217;arrivo ecco arrivare la celebre<strong> Foresta di Arenberg<\/strong>, il primo dei tre settori con cinque stelle e un primo potenziale punto decisivo della gara. A poche decine di metri dall&#8217;inizio del tratto in pav\u00e9 \u00e8 collocata la grande novit\u00e0 di questa edizione, una stretta doppia curva che far\u00e0 rallentare moltissimo i corridori in gruppo. In questo modo, secondo gli organizzatori, l&#8217;ingresso nel difficile settore di 2300 metri totalmente dritti non avverr\u00e0 ad altissime velocit\u00e0, come succede di solito, limitando cos\u00ec l&#8217;altrimenti alta probabilit\u00e0 di rovinose cadute. Nonostante la sua lontananza dal traguardo ci sar\u00e0 comunque grande bagarre per prendere la chicane nelle prime posizioni del plotone e poi ripartire a tutto gas per provare a mettere in difficolt\u00e0 gli avversari. Altro pericolo che potrebbe far perdere tempo, e costringere poi a un dispendioso inseguimento, sar\u00e0 ovviamente quello delle forature. Sar\u00e0 dunque importante per i favoriti avere al loro fianco un compagno di squadra che possa passargli una ruota o l&#8217;intera bici.<\/p>\n<p>Usciti da questo settore, per i corridori si apriranno una cinquantina di chilometri piuttosto impegnativi e con poco spazio per rifiatare. Lungo questo segmento di gara, infatti, verranno affrontati ben otto tratti di pav\u00e9, nessuno dei quali inferiore alle tre stelle di difficolt\u00e0. Si comincer\u00e0 con i 1600 metri da <strong>Wallers<\/strong> a <strong>H\u00e9lesmes<\/strong>, seguiti dal quattro stelle <strong>Hornaing \u2013 Wandignies<\/strong> (3,7 km), dal settore di <strong>Warlaing \u2013 Brillon<\/strong> (2400 metri) e da quello di pari distanza, ma maggiore difficolt\u00e0, di <strong>Tilloy \u2013 Sars-et-Rosi\u00e8res<\/strong>. Pi\u00f9 brevi e pi\u00f9 semplici saranno invece i tratti di <strong>Beuvry-la-For\u00eat \u2013 Orchies<\/strong> e <strong>Orchies<\/strong>, ma dopo soli sei chilometri da quest&#8217;ultimo, ecco l&#8217;uno-due micidiale formato da <strong>Auchy-lez-Orchies \u2013 Bers\u00e9e<\/strong> (2,7 km e quattro stelle) e <strong>Mons-en-P\u00e9v\u00e8le<\/strong>, il secondo settore a meritarsi le cinque stelle di difficolt\u00e0 per la sua durezza. Lungo i suoi 3000 metri sar\u00e0 gi\u00e0 possibile effettuare una prima selezione decisiva, anche perch\u00e9 all&#8217;uscita mancheranno circa 45 chilometri alla conclusione, e non sar\u00e0 semplice per i corridori attardati rientrare sui migliori.<\/p>\n<p>In ogni caso, i successivi 20 chilometri saranno costellati da alcuni tratti di pav\u00e9 abbastanza corti, e non troppo difficili, che potrebbero comunque dare fastidio ai corridori, che nelle gambe avranno gi\u00e0 pi\u00f9 di 200 chilometri di gara, di cui 44 su pav\u00e9. I settori di <strong>M\u00e9rignies \u2013 Avelin<\/strong>, <strong>Pont-Thibaut \u2013 Ennevelin<\/strong>, <strong>Templeuve<\/strong> (diviso in due da una breve striscia di asfalto), <strong>Cysoing \u2013 Bourghelles<\/strong> e <strong>Bourghelles \u2013 Wannehain<\/strong> saranno per\u00f2 solo un assaggio rispetto ai tratti numero 5 e numero 4, <strong>Camphin-en-P\u00e9v\u00e8le<\/strong>\u00a0e <strong>Carrefour de l\u2019Arbre<\/strong>. Il primo, da poco intitolato a Eddy Merckx, \u00e8 lungo 1800 metri ed \u00e8 classificato con quattro stelle a causa del pav\u00e9 piuttosto sconnesso, mentre il secondo, affrontato dopo solo un chilometro dal precedente, \u00e8 caratterizzato da alcune curve parecchio insidiose nella fase iniziale. Sar\u00e0 probabilmente questo terzo e ultimo settore con cinque stelle di difficolt\u00e0, di 2100 metri di lunghezza, a decidere chi potr\u00e0 lottare per la vittoria e chi no.<\/p>\n<p>Uscendo da qui, infatti, mancheranno solo 15 chilometri e tre settori di pav\u00e9 all&#8217;arrivo, ma questi tratti non presentano difficolt\u00e0 degne di nota, e solo un inconveniente potrebbe rallentare chi \u00e8 davanti. Lunghi poco pi\u00f9 di un chilometro e con due stelle di difficolt\u00e0, i settori di <strong>Gruson<\/strong> e di <strong>Willems \u2013 Hem<\/strong> potrebbero dare qualche problema solo in caso di pioggia, mentre l&#8217;ultimo settore, l&#8217;<strong>Espace Charles Crupelandt<\/strong>, omaggio all&#8217;unico vincitore della corsa originario proprio di Roubaix, sar\u00e0 giusto una facile passerella in vista dell&#8217;ingresso nel mitico <strong>Velodromo di Roubaix<\/strong>. Il giro e mezzo di pista in cemento sar\u00e0 un fattore determinante esclusivamente per coloro che non arriveranno da soli, dovendo eventualmente gestire la posizione per una volata che pu\u00f2
