Dopo le prime tre tappe in Danimarca, la Grande Boucle proporr\u00e0 la partenza della sesta frazione da <strong>Binche<\/strong>, in Belgio. In terra belga si svilupperanno anche un terzo dei 219,9 chilometri di questa tappa, la pi\u00f9 lunga di questa edizione del Tour, che presenta diverse insidie lungo un percorso che ricorda quello di una classica. Si preannuncia particolarmente impegnativo soprattutto il finale con tre c\u00f4tes concentrate negli ultimi quindici chilometri, in cima all&#8217;ultima delle quali \u00e8 posto il traguardo di <strong>Longwy<\/strong>. Dei 219,9 chilometri totali, i primi 69, piuttosto mossi, si sviluppano interamente in terra belga, prima di entrare in Francia. Poco dopo aver attraversato il confine francese, i corridori affronteranno la prima asperit\u00e0 classificata come GPM di terza categoria, la <strong>C\u00f4te de Mazures<\/strong> (2 km al 7,6%), posta dopo 87,2 chilometri.<\/p>\n<p>Il gruppo proseguir\u00e0 per una quarantina di chilometri, per lo pi\u00f9 pianeggianti, che comprendono anche il traguardo volante di <strong>Carignan<\/strong>, prima di entrare negli ultimi sessanta chilometri nuovamente caratterizzati da sali scendi. Particolarmente impegnativi gli ultimi quindici che non lasceranno un attimo di respiro ai corridori con in rapida successione la <strong>C\u00f4te de Montigny-sur-Chiers<\/strong> (1,6 km al 4,4%), al chilometro 205, la <strong>C\u00f4te de Pulventeux<\/strong> (0,8 km al 12,3%), a soli cinque chilometri dall&#8217;arrivo di <strong>Longwy<\/strong>. Il finale, con le tre c\u00f4tes una in fila all&#8217;altra, sembra perfetto per il grande protagonista di questa prima settimana di Grande Boucle, che gi\u00e0 nella quarta tappa ha dimostrato che su questi brevi strappi ha la capacit\u00e0 per fare la differenza. Considerato che nel prosieguo della corsa dovr\u00e0 poi soprattutto lavorare per i propri capitani, il belga deve cercare di sfruttare ogni occasione disponibile per lasciare il segno, e questa \u00e8 sicuramente una di quelle. Inoltre, vincendo, il 27enne avrebbe anche l&#8217;opportunit\u00e0 di guadagnare punti nella classifica della Maglia Verde sui velocisti, che difficilmente saranno protagonisti in questa giornata.<\/p>\n<p>Uno dei rivali principali di Van Aert per la tappa sar\u00e0 con buona probabilit\u00e0 <strong>Michael Matthews<\/strong> (Team BikeExchange-Jayco). Corridore veloce e che sa tenere bene su questi brevi strappi, l&#8217;australiano ha chiuso secondo su questo traguardo nel 2017, dunque il suo \u00e8 certamente un nome da tenere in considerazione per questa giornata. Quel giorno, il 31enne fu battuto solamente da <strong>Peter Sagan<\/strong> (TotalEnergies), che non possiamo non citare tra coloro che potrebbero ottenere un buon risultato. Cinque anni sono tanti e lo slovacco, pur quasi sempre tra i migliori, non \u00e8 pi\u00f9 il corridore di un tempo; ultimamente, per\u00f2, sembra aver ritrovato un&#8217;ottima gamba, quindi non \u00e8 da escludere che possa ripetersi su questo arrivo.<\/p>\n<p>Tra i corridori da classiche che possono lottare per la vittoria c&#8217;\u00e8 poi <strong>Dylan Teuns<\/strong> (Bahrain Victorious), che con i successi alla Freccia Vallone e nella prima tappa in linea del Giro di Romandia ha dimostrato di potersela giocare su traguardi del genere. Traguardo che potrebbe premiare anche un corridore azzurro, con <strong>Alberto Bettiol<\/strong> (EF Education-EasyPost) e <strong>Andrea Bagioli<\/strong> (Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl), che, per caratteristiche e per la condizione mostrata, sembrano poter essere gli italiani maggiormente indiziati a puntare alla vittoria di questa tappa. Se avessero la gamba dei giorni migliori sarebbero sicuramente tra i favoriti principali due corridori come <strong>Mathieu Van Der Poel<\/strong> (Alpecin-Deceuninck) e <strong>Tom Pidcock<\/strong> (Ineos Grenadiers), che comunque, anche se non hanno dimostrato una gran condizione, hanno le capacit\u00e0 per sorprendere in qualsiasi momento.<\/p>\n<p>Non \u00e8 comunque da escludere che a giocarsi la vittoria siano gli uomini di classifica. In questo caso, ovviamente non possiamo non partire da <strong>Tadej Pogacar<\/strong> (UAE Team Emirates), fenomeno che pu\u00f2 vincere praticamente dappertutto e che molto difficilmente non sar\u00e0 tra i migliori nel finale di tappa. Un finale che potrebbe adattarsi bene al connazionale <strong>Primoz Roglic<\/strong> (Jumbo-Visma), del quale tuttavia bisogner\u00e0 valutare le condizioni dopo la caduta nella quinta frazione; \u00e8 possibile quindi, che lo sloveno si metta a disposizione del compagno di squadra <strong>Jonas Vingegaard<\/strong>, quanto meno per tenerlo davanti e al coperto negli ultimi chilometri. Tra gli altri big che possono ottenere un buon piazzamento in questa giornata ci sono poi anche <strong>David Gaudu<\/strong> (Groupama-FDJ), <strong>Michael Woods<\/strong> (Israel-Premier Tech), il terzetto della Ineos Grenadiers composto da <strong>Adam Yates<\/strong>, <strong>Geraint Thomas<\/strong> e <strong>Daniel Martinez<\/strong>, e <strong>Aleksandr Vlasov<\/strong> (Bora-hansgrohe), anche se l&#8217;arrivo sembra maggiormente adatto al compagno di team <strong>Maximilian Schachmann<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Altri corridori che possono brillare sulle brevi c\u00f4tes nei chilometri finali sono poi <strong>Andreas Kron<\/strong> e <strong>Tim Wellens <\/strong>(Lotto Soudal), <strong>Benoit Cosnefroy<\/strong> (Ag2r Citroen), <strong>Marc Hirschi<\/strong> (UAE Team Emirates) e <strong>Mads Pedersen<\/strong> (Trek-Segafredo).
