Dopo la cancellazione dell&#8217;edizione 2020 e il rinvio a ottobre di quella 2021, finalmente l&#8217;Inferno del Nord torna a svolgersi nella sua collocazione tradizionale, sebbene comunque una settimana pi\u00f9 tardi rispetto al solito a causa delle elezioni presidenziali francesi, che hanno obbligato a uno scambio di date con l&#8217;Amstel Gold Race. Leggere modifiche ci saranno anche nel percorso, che nei suoi 257,2 chilometri proporr\u00e0 54,8 chilometri di pav\u00e9, suddivisi in 30 settori, mentre a cambiare non sar\u00e0 il fascino di questa gara, sempre molto sentita dai tifosi e dai corridori, questi ultimi pronti a offrire un grande spettacolo <strong>domenica 17 aprile<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Percorso Parigi &#8211; Roubaix 2022<\/h2>\n<p>Come accade ormai ininterrottamente dal 1977, la corsa prender\u00e0 il via da <strong>Compi\u00e8gne<\/strong>, citt\u00e0 che si trova circa 70 chilometri a nord-est da Parigi, ma il primo settore di pav\u00e9 si incontrer\u00e0 solo 96 chilometri dopo la partenza, con il primo tratto di gara che servir\u00e0 dunque soprattutto alla formazione della fuga di giornata e a far s\u00ec che i suoi componenti acquisiscano pi\u00f9 margine possibile sul gruppo. Arrivati quindi a <strong>Troisville<\/strong>, i corridori affronteranno il primo tratto di pav\u00e9, il numero 30 (come da tradizione, i settori sono numerati in maniera decrescente), che si concluder\u00e0 a <strong>Inchy<\/strong> dopo 2200 metri e sar\u00e0 seguito da quello da <strong>Viesly<\/strong> a <strong>Qui\u00e9vy<\/strong> (1800 metri, tre stelle di difficolt\u00e0 come il tratto precedente), da quello da <strong>Qui\u00e9vy<\/strong> a <strong>Saint-Python<\/strong> (il pi\u00f9 lungo assieme al numero 17 con i suoi 3700 metri, quattro stelle) e da quello di <strong>Saint-Python<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Usciti da questo settore ci sar\u00e0 l&#8217;unica variazione di percorso rispetto al tracciato dello scorso anno, che coinvolger\u00e0 i successivi 20 chilometri e i tratti di pav\u00e9 dal 26 al 23, vale a dire <strong>Vertin \u2013 Saint-Martin-sur-\u00c9caillon<\/strong>, <strong>Haussy<\/strong> (entrambi affrontati anche nel 2021, ma in senso inverso), <strong>Saulzoir \u2013 Verchain-Maugr\u00e9<\/strong> e <strong>Verchain-Maugr\u00e9 \u2013 Qu\u00e9r\u00e9naing<\/strong>, il primo e l&#8217;ultimo dei quali saranno quelli pi\u00f9 lunghi e avranno tre stelle di difficolt\u00e0. Con il settore che va da <strong>Qu\u00e9r\u00e9naing<\/strong> a <strong>Maing<\/strong> (2500 metri, tre stelle) si ritorner\u00e0 quindi sul percorso dell&#8217;ultima edizione, che rimarr\u00e0 invariato praticamente fino al traguardo. Dopo il tratto di <strong>Maing \u2013 Monchaux-sur-\u00c9caillon<\/strong>, ci saranno una dozzina di chilometri pi\u00f9 tranquilli prima dell&#8217;impegnativo settore numero 20, da <strong>Haveluy<\/strong> a <strong>Wallers<\/strong> (2500 metri, quattro stelle), che anticiper\u00e0 di qualche chilometro il celebre tratto della <strong>Trou\u00e9e d\u2019Arenberg<\/strong>, il primo dei tre settori con cinque stelle.<\/p>\n<p>Sar\u00e0 grande la bagarre tra i big per prendere nelle prime posizioni questa suggestiva striscia di pav\u00e9 di 2300 metri, totalmente dritta e in mezzo agli alberi, presente nel percorso dal 1968. Nonostante sia distante dall&#8217;arrivo ben 94 chilometri e negli ultimi anni abbia pesato meno nell&#8217;economia della corsa, infatti, questo punto potrebbe gi\u00e0 rappresentare un momento decisivo della gara, soprattutto in caso di sorprese negative quali forature o cadute, che si verificano spesso lungo questo settore e che potrebbero rendere difficile e dispendioso l&#8217;inseguimento. All&#8217;uscita dalla foresta, poi, per i corridori si apriranno circa 50 chilometri senza quasi un attimo di respiro, lungo i quali verranno affrontati ben otto tratti di pav\u00e9, nessuno dei quali inferiore alle tre stelle di difficolt\u00e0.<\/p>\n<p>Si comincer\u00e0 quindi con i 1600 metri da <strong>Wallers<\/strong> a <strong>H\u00e9lesmes<\/strong>, seguiti dal lungo settore di <strong>Hornaing \u2013 Wandignies<\/strong> (3700 metri, quattro stelle), da quello di <strong>Warlaing \u2013 Brillon<\/strong> (2400 metri) e da quello di <strong>Tilloy \u2013 Sars-et-Rosi\u00e8res<\/strong> (2400 metri, quattro stelle). Dopo due tratti pi\u00f9 semplici, <strong>Beuvry-la-For\u00eat \u2013 Orchies<\/strong> e <strong>Orchies<\/strong>, ecco l&#8217;uno-due micidiale formato da <strong>Auchy-lez-Orchies \u2013 Bers\u00e9e<\/strong> (2700 metri, quattro stelle) e <strong>Mons-en-P\u00e9v\u00e8le<\/strong>, il secondo settore a meritarsi le cinque stelle di difficolt\u00e0 e altro punto chiave della corsa, dato che al traguardo mancheranno 47 chilometri. \u00c8 proprio lungo questi durissimi 3000 metri che, con buona probabilit\u00e0, si effettuer\u00e0 la selezione decisiva, con i pi\u00f9 forti che proveranno a fare la differenza e tutti gli altri che tenteranno di sopravvivere, anche perch\u00e9 in seguito arriver\u00e0 una fase di gara sulla carta pi\u00f9 semplice, nella quale alcuni corridori potrebbero avere la possibilit\u00e0 di rientrare sui migliori.<\/p>\n<p>Nei successivi 25 chilometri, infatti, si incontreranno cinque tratti di pav\u00e9 (<strong>M\u00e9rignies \u2013 Avelin<\/strong>, <strong>Pont-Thibaut \u2013 Ennevelin<\/strong>, <strong>Templeuve<\/strong> (diviso in due da una breve striscia di asfalto), <strong>Cysoing \u2013 Bourghelles<\/strong> e <strong>Bourghelles \u2013 Wannehain<\/strong>) abbastanza corti e non estremamente difficili, anche se potrebbero comunque farsi sentire nelle gambe dei corridori, gi\u00e0 provati da pi\u00f9 di 200 chilometri di gara molto impegnativi. Eppure, questi settori non saranno che una passeggiata in confronto ai due successivi, il numero 5 e il numero 4: il primo, quello di <strong>Camphin-en-P\u00e9v\u00e8le<\/strong>, nei suoi 1800 metri (quattro stelle) permetter\u00e0 di tastare il terreno e di valutare le energie residue in vista del secondo, il leggendario <strong>Carrefour de l\u2019Arbre<\/strong>, il terzo e ultimo dei tratti con cinque stelle di difficolt\u00e0. Lungo questi 2100 metri, piuttosto insidiosi nella fase iniziale per la presenza di alcune curve, si \u00e8 spesso decisa la corsa negli ultimi anni; chi ne avr\u00e0 di pi\u00f9 potr\u00e0 tentare di attaccare e staccare gli avversari per involarsi verso il traguardo finale.<\/p>\n<p>Uscendo per primi da questo tratto si hanno infatti ottime possibilit\u00e0 di andare a trionfare nel mitico <strong>Velodromo di Roubaix<\/strong>, anche perch\u00e9 gli ultimi tre settori non presentano grandissime difficolt\u00e0, e solo un incidente meccanico o una crisi improvvisa possono spegnere i sogni di gloria di colui o coloro che affronteranno questi 17 chilometri finali. I tratti di <strong>Gruson<\/strong> e di <strong>Willems \u2013 Hem<\/strong> potrebbero dare qualche problema solo in caso di pioggia, mentre l&#8217;ultimo settore, l&#8217;<strong>Espace Charles Crupelandt<\/strong> (dedicato all&#8217;unico nativo di Roubaix in grado di imporsi in questa gara), servir\u00e0 soprattutto come passerella per chi ci arriver\u00e0 in solitaria, mentre se ad entrarci sar\u00e0 un drappello ristretto non saranno di sicuro questi semplici 300 metri a fare l&#8217;ultima differenza prima dell&#8217;ingresso nel mitico Velodromo, dove il boato dei tifosi
