La quarta frazione della corsa spagnola, infatti, prender\u00e0 il via da <strong>La Seu d&#8217;Urgell<\/strong> per concludersi, 166,7 chilometri dopo, presso la localit\u00e0 sciistica di <strong>Bo\u00ed Ta\u00fcll<\/strong>, al termine di un&#8217;ascesa che in passato \u00e8 stata spesso presente nel percorso della gara, ma che gli organizzatori non riproponevano da ormai venti anni. Dopo lo scollinamento, una lunga discesa (interrotta brevemente da un tratto in contropendenza) riporter\u00e0 i corridori nel fondovalle, dove un&#8217;altra trentina di chilometri senza particolari difficolt\u00e0 permetter\u00e0 al gruppo di transitare da La Pobla de Segur e, poco dopo, di iniziare a salire per circa 20 chilometri verso il secondo GPM, il <strong>Port de la Creu de Perves<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Ufficialmente lunga 5700 metri (pendenza media del 6,5%, max. 8%), questa ascesa sar\u00e0 scollinata a 47 chilometri dalla conclusione; di questi, solo una quindicina saranno di discesa, anche qui interrotta da un breve tratto in contropendenza. Una volta giunti in fondo, infatti, inizier\u00e0 un lungo falsopiano gi\u00e0 piuttosto in pendenza che, dopo il transito dagli sprint intermedi di <strong>El Pont de Suert<\/strong> e di <strong>Barruera<\/strong>, porter\u00e0 i corridori fino ai piedi della salita finale di <strong>Bo\u00ed Ta\u00fcll<\/strong>, che nei suoi 12,7 chilometri al 5,6%, con punta del 12%, proporr\u00e0 le pendenze pi\u00f9 impegnative nei primi 4000 metri e negli ultimi 4000, mentre la parte centrale sar\u00e0 un po\u2019 pi\u00f9 semplice.<\/p>\n<h2>Favoriti Quarta Tappa Volta a Catalunya 2022<\/h2>\n<p>Arriva un&#8217;altra giornata tutta per gli scalatori, che si cimenteranno nel lunghissimo arrivo in salita di Bo\u00ed Ta\u00fcll, le cui prime rampe verranno approcciate ad oltre 30 chilometri dal traguardo. Sar\u00e0 quindi una lunga selezione &#8220;da dietro&#8221; con soltanto i migliori che arriveranno a giocarsi il successo finale. <strong>Ben O&#8217;Connor<\/strong> (AG2R Citr\u00f6en Team), nuovo leader della generale, ha dimostrato oggi di essere in una forma sorprendente e il dover difendere la maglia gli dar\u00e0 sicuramente una spinta ulteriore per fare bene. Dovr\u00e0 vedersela soprattutto con i colombiano, che rappresentano il gruppo di corridori pi\u00f9 agguerriti, a partire da <strong>Nairo Quintana<\/strong> (Ark\u00e9a Samsic) e <strong>Sergio Higuita<\/strong> (BORA-hansgrohe), entrambi in formissima, che sicuramente avranno cerchiato di rosso questo giorno sul calendario. In casa BORA-hansgrohe attenzione anche a Jai Hindley, apparso in crescendo di forma. Anche <strong>Santiago Buitrago<\/strong> (Bahrain-Victorious), <strong>Esteban Chaves<\/strong> (EF Education-EasyPost) e<strong> Ivan Sosa<\/strong> (Movistar) sono in ottima forma, anche se entrambi devono di fatto vivere un dualismo scomodo con i propri compagni, <strong>Wouter Poels<\/strong>, <strong>Hugh Carthy<\/strong> e<strong> Alejandro Valverde<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jo\u00e3o Almeida<\/strong> (UAE Team Emirates) \u00e8 pronto a recuperare ulteriore terreno in classifica generale, anche se l&#8217;ascesa del talentuoso<strong> Juan Ayuso<\/strong> potrebbe cambiare le gerarchie nella squadra emiratina, che conta anche <strong>George Bennett<\/strong> e <strong>Marc Soler<\/strong> nelle parti alte della classifica. La pendenza media non sar\u00e0 eccessiva, sul 5,6%, ma \u00e8 abbassata da un tratto centrale pi\u00f9 semplice; i primi quattro chilometri e gli ultimi quattro presenteranno invece le pendenze pi\u00f9 dure, e soprattutto in questa fase finale sar\u00e0 possibile fare la differenza, considerando che si supereranno (anche se di poco) i 2000 metri di quota. Altro fattore da tenere in considerazione \u00e8 che questa ascesa arriver\u00e0 al termine di una giornata con altre due salite non particolarmente impegnative, ma che porteranno il dislivello totale a sfiorare i 3500 metri, ai quali si aggiungono i 3500 affrontati il giorno precedente.
