La prima tappa della terza e ultima settimana, ovvero la sedicesima frazione di questa edizione della Grande Boucle, si svolger\u00e0 infatti lungo la catena montuosa che separa la Francia dalla Spagna proponendo quattro GPM, compreso il Col de Portet-d\u2019Aspet, tra le salite pi\u00f9 visitate nella storia della corsa francese e teatro del tragico incidente che nel 1995 cost\u00f2 la vita a Fabio Casartelli. Una giornata, quella che porter\u00e0 i corridori da Pas de la Case a Saint-Gaudens, nella quale non si dovrebbe comunque assistere a grandi battaglie tra gli uomini di classifica, che molto probabilmente lasceranno ancora spazio a coloro che si inseriranno nella fuga da lontano, anche se ovviamente non sono da escludere possibili sorprese.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ORARIO DI PARTENZA:<\/strong> 13:05<br \/>\n<strong>ORARIO DI ARRIVO (PREVISTO):<\/strong> 17:21-17:46<br \/>\n<strong>DIRETTA TV E STREAMING:<\/strong> 14:00-18:00 Rai2 \/ 13:00-17:50 Eurosport 1, Eurosport Player, Discovery+, GCN<br \/>\n<strong>HASHTAG UFFICIALE:<\/strong> #TDF2021<\/p>\n<h2>Percorso Sedicesima Tappa Tour de France 2021<\/h2>\n<p>Partiti da <strong>Pas de la Case<\/strong>, comune di Andorra al confine con la Francia, i corridori incontreranno praticamente solo discesa per i primi 37 chilometri, durante i quali si assister\u00e0 molto probabilmente a numerosi attacchi per tentare di portar via la fuga di giornata. Se ci\u00f2 non dovesse riuscire in questa fase, il <strong>Col de Port<\/strong> (11,4 km al 5,1%), prima salita di questa tappa, potrebbe contribuire sicuramente a dare una mano agli attaccanti. Giunto allo scollinamento, il plotone affronter\u00e0 dunque una dozzina di chilometri di discesa, seguiti da altri 18 chilometri che continueranno a scendere in maniera pi\u00f9 leggera e che porteranno fino al traguardo intermedio di <strong>Vic d&#8217;Oust<\/strong>, che segner\u00e0 l&#8217;inizio della seconda met\u00e0 della frazione.<\/p>\n<p>Passato lo sprint, la strada torner\u00e0 a salire verso il <strong>Col de la Core<\/strong> (13,1 km al 6,6%), ascesa piuttosto regolare che sar\u00e0 seguita da una discesa abbastanza tecnica nella prima parte, terminata la quale mancheranno poco pi\u00f9 di 50 chilometri alla conclusione. I successivi 15, gi\u00e0 in leggera salita, porteranno poi il gruppo ai piedi del famoso <strong>Col de Portet-d\u2019Aspet<\/strong> (5,4 km al 7,1%), che presenter\u00e0 le pendenze pi\u00f9 impegnative poco prima di giungere in cima. Se \u00e8 vero che non c&#8217;\u00e8 due senza tre, \u00e8 lecito attendersi qualche uomo della compagine neerlandese ancora all&#8217;attacco. Il nome pi\u00f9 caldo \u00e8 sicuramente quello di\u00a0<strong>Wout Van Aert\u00a0<\/strong>(Jumbo-Visma), gi\u00e0 vittorioso nella tappa del Mont Ventoux, e pronto ad incrementare il suo bottino sfruttando la sua duttilit\u00e0, su un percorso che offre terreno per attaccare tanto in salita quanto in discesa.<\/p>\n<p>Caratteristiche simili a quelle del campione belga sono quelle di\u00a0<strong>Julian Alaphilippe\u00a0<\/strong>(Deceuninck-QuickStep), che per\u00f2 dopo la vittoria della prima tappa \u00e8 apparso sempre leggermente in calo, pur continuando comunque a provarci. Per questo il campione del mondo potrebbe ritrovarsi a lavorare in tandem con\u00a0<strong>Mattia Cattaneo\u00a0<\/strong>(Deceuninck-QuickStep), apparso invece in buona condizione e forse anche piuttosto generoso in alcune occasioni. L&#8217;italiano ha centrato gi\u00e0 quattro top 10 di tappa e sembra essere in grado di puntare a un successo che rilancerebbe le sue ambizioni anche in ottica top 10 in classifica generale, che comunque non \u00e8 il suo obiettivo principale.<\/p>\n<p>Ci sar\u00e0 anche lotta per la maglia a pois, con <strong>Nairo Quintana<\/strong> (Ark\u00e9a-Samsic), <strong>Bauke Mollema <\/strong>(Trek-Segafredo),\u00a0<strong>Michael Woods <\/strong>(Israel Start-Up Nation) e\u00a0<strong>Wouter Poels <\/strong>(Bahrain Victorious), che proveranno a inserirsi nella fuga per accumulare punti sui GPM e una volta l\u00ec potrebbero cercare anche il successo di tappa. Difficile che il percorso premi il colombiano in questo senso, mentre il corridore della Trek-Segafredo potrebbe ormai gi\u00e0 essere appagato in questo senso dopo il successo di tappa e quindi potrebbe dare tutto per i GPM, ma si tratta di un ciclista sempre in grado di sorprendere. Pi\u00f9 probabile che cerchino di andare fino alla fine il canadese, discreto uomo da classiche che potrebbe destreggiarsi bene su questo tipo di percorso, e il corridore della Bahrain Victorious, a caccia di un&#8217;ulteriore vittoria di tappa per il suo team.<\/p>\n<p>La prima di queste vittorie porta la firma di\u00a0<strong>Matej Mohoric<\/strong>, un altro dei favoriti per la frazione di domani, soprattutto per la capacit\u00e0 di andare forte in discesa, una caratteristica che lo accomuna al compagno di squadra\u00a0<strong>Pello Bilbao<\/strong>, che per\u00f2 potrebbe decidere di rimanere in gruppo per difendere la posizione in top 10. Chi invece vuole fortemente un successo di tappa nella formazione asiatica \u00e8\u00a0<strong>Sonny Colbrelli<\/strong>, che sulle pendenze di domani potrebbe tenere duro e poi regolare un gruppetto ristretto allo sprint finale.<\/p>\n<p>Lo stesso scenario che si auspicano anche\u00a0<strong>Michael Matthews\u00a0<\/strong>(BikeExchange) e\u00a0<strong>Magnus Cort\u00a0<\/strong>(EF Education-Nippo), con il danese che ha anche le capacit\u00e0 di staccare gli altri in salita con la giornata giusta e la giusta composizione della fuga. Sono veri e propri scalatori, invece,\u00a0<strong>Sergio Higuita\u00a0<\/strong>(EF Education-Nippo),\u00a0<strong>Patrick Konrad\u00a0<\/strong>(Bora-Hansgrohe) e\u00a0<strong>Alejandro Valverde\u00a0<\/strong>(Movistar), tutti protagonisti nelle prime giornate sui Pirenei e a un soffio dal colpo grosso.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;Astana-PremierTech prover\u00e0 a difendere la posizione in classifica di un fin qui superlativo\u00a0<strong>Alexey Lutsenko<\/strong>, ma a seconda di come evolver\u00e0 la giornata potrebbe cercare l&#8217;affermazione parziale con\u00a0<strong>Jakob Fuglsang, Ion Izagirre<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Omair Fraile\u00a0<\/strong>o\u00a0<strong>Alex Aranburu<\/strong>.
