Non solo la settima tappa, con i suoi 249,1 chilometri, sar\u00e0 la pi\u00f9 lunga di questa edizione della Grande Boucle ma \u00e8 da ben 21 anni che non si toccavano queste distanze. Quella che partir\u00e0 da <strong>Vierzon<\/strong> non sar\u00e0 solamente una frazione lunga, perch\u00e9 i suoi cinque GPM, due di terza categoria, due quarta e il Signal d&#8217;Uchon (con abbuoni) di seconda, promettono un finale scoppiettante ed incerto. I primi 150 chilometri dopo la partenza da <strong>Vierzon<\/strong>, infatti, si presentano per lo pi\u00f9 pianeggianti, mentre negli ultimi 100 sono condensati i cinque GPM che caratterizzano la tappa. Il primo, dopo 161,5 chilometri, sar\u00e0 la <strong>C\u00f4te de Ch\u00e2teau-Chinon<\/strong> (3,2 km al 5,3%) a cui seguir\u00e0, dopo una breve discesa, la <strong>C\u00f4te de Glux-en-Glenne<\/strong> (2,6 km al 4,2%). Dopo un tratto mosso, il gruppo affronter\u00e0 la <strong>C\u00f4te de la Croix de la Lib\u00e9ration<\/strong> (4,6 km al 5,3%), ascesa di terza categoria che introdurr\u00e0 all&#8217;impegnativo finale.<\/p>\n<p>Dopo la successiva discesa, infatti, verr\u00e0 affrontata la salita pi\u00f9 impegnativa di giornata classificata di seconda categoria, il <strong>Signal d&#8217;Uchon<\/strong> (5,7 km al 5,7%), che nella parte finale presenta picchi di pendenza che arrivano al 18%. Lo scollinamento che, oltre ai punti per la Maglia a Pois, assegner\u00e0 anche secondi di abbuono, \u00e8 posto a 18 chilometri dall\u2019arrivo. L&#8217;ultima ascesa di giornata sar\u00e0 la <strong>C\u00f4te de la Gourloye<\/strong> (2,4 km al 5,3%). Dalle stesse dichiarazioni dei corridori sembra poterci essere la prima fuga vincente di quest Grande Boucle, ma i distacchi ancora tutto sommato contenuti potrebbero portare a degli attacchi nel finale. Attacchi da cui\u00a0<strong>Mathieu van der Poel\u00a0<\/strong>(Alpecin-Fenix) dovr\u00e0 difendersi e probabilmente lo far\u00e0 nel modo che preferisce: attaccando. Una vittoria in maglia gialla rappresenterebbe un&#8217;ulteriore ciliegina sulla torta del suo gi\u00e0 leggendario Tour de France.<\/p>\n<p>I principali rivali saranno ormai i soliti sospetti, a partire dal campione del mondo\u00a0<strong>Julian Alaphilippe\u00a0<\/strong>(Deceuninck-QuickStep), che vorrebbe concedere il bis dopo il successo della prima tappa, per riscattare anche la crono deludente di ieri e capire dove potr\u00e0 arrivare in ottica classifica generale. Quando si tratta di sfidare Van der Poel, il primo nome che viene in mente \u00e8 quello di\u00a0<strong>Wout Van Aert<\/strong> (Jumbo-Visma), eterno rivale del neerlandese, e alle ultime chance di poter provare a fare qualcosa in prima persona, prima di mettersi al servizio del capitano\u00a0<strong>Primoz Roglic<\/strong>, che sta ancora recuperando dalle cadute di questi primi giorni.<\/p>\n<p>In ottica classifica generale, il pericolo pi\u00f9 grande per Van der Poel \u00e8 sicuramente\u00a0<strong>Tadej Pogacar\u00a0<\/strong>(UAE Team Emirates), distante solo 8&#8243; e probabilmente l&#8217;uomo pi\u00f9 in forma in questo momento. Proprio per questo motivo, per\u00f2, lo sloveno potrebbe essere particolarmente marcato, a differenza di uomini che sono invece gi\u00e0 lontani in classifica. A guidare questo gruppo c&#8217;\u00e8 sicuramente\u00a0<strong>Alejandro Valverde\u00a0<\/strong>(Movistar), seguito da tutti quei corridori veloci dotati di buona resistenza in salita, che potrebbero provarci sia andando in fuga che resistendo in gruppo per poi giocarsi la volata finale. Rientrano in quest&#8217;ultima categoria\u00a0<strong>Michael Matthews\u00a0<\/strong>(BikeExchange),\u00a0<strong>Magnus Cort Nielsen\u00a0<\/strong>(EF),\u00a0<strong>Peter Sagan\u00a0<\/strong>(Bora-Hansgrohe) e\u00a0<strong>Sonny Colbrelli\u00a0<\/strong>(Bahrain Victorious). La Bahrain Victorious, per\u00f2, potrebbe decidere anche di puntare sul discesista <strong>Matej Mohoric<\/strong> in un percorso dove la discesa sembra avere un ruolo di primo piano.<\/p>\n<p>In discesa va forte anche\u00a0<strong>Alex Aranburu\u00a0<\/strong>(Astana-PremierTech), che grazie al suo spunto veloce potrebbe essere l&#8217;uomo sui cui puntare il suo team, che per\u00f2 ha anche altre opzioni, come il campione spagnolo\u00a0<strong>Omar Fraile<\/strong>. Il team kazako-canadese, poi, potrebbe tenere un occhio anche alla classifica e provare a fare qualcosa con <strong>Alexey Lutsenko<\/strong>, sfruttando magari anche le abilit\u00e0 in salita di\u00a0<strong>Jakob Fuglsang<\/strong>. Chi invece guarder\u00e0 senza dubbio la classifica generale \u00e8 la Ineos Grenadiers, con\u00a0<strong>Richard Carapaz<\/strong> che, oltre a essere l&#8217;uomo pi\u00f9 adatto nel team per questo arrivo, \u00e8 l&#8217;uomo pi\u00f9 in forma, in attesa che\u00a0<strong>Geraint Thomas\u00a0<\/strong>riesca a tornare sui suoi livelli migliori.<\/p>\n<p>Sono invece gi\u00e0 finiti i sogni di classifica della Israel Start-Up Nation, che cercher\u00e0 un successo di tappa con\u00a0<strong>Michael Woods\u00a0<\/strong>o\u00a0<strong>Daniel Martin<\/strong>.
