Klasika Primavera 2018, Amador wins in front of Valverde

Andrey Amador (Movistar) wins the 2018 Klasika Primavera. The Costa Rican raised his hands up to the sky at the end of 171 kilometers of racing on the finish line of Amorebieta. The thirty-one years old went clear together with his teammate Alejandro Valverde on the last climb of today’s racing. The Spaniard, to tell the truth, basically didn’t sprinted for victory and allowed his teammate to get his first success in this season. The Colombian youngster Wilmar Paredes (Manzana – Postobon) stepped on the podium by taking the sprint for third. Carlos Betancur (Movistar) finished in fourth, in this way being the third Movistar rider into the top-4 positions, whereas Dimitri Strakhov (Lokosphinx) in fifth.
