Welcome everybody to the Kuurne – Brussel – Kuurne 2018 Live podcast. The Flemish Classic is the second event in Belgian calendar after yesterday’s Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. Unlike the latter, today’s race finale is likely to be more in favor of the sprinters. The roads of Flanders once again represent the stage on which the top-echelon contenders of the international peloton will challenge each other. Today’s race allows sprinters to chase the opportunity to win whereas yesterday Omloop Het Nieuwsblad had been a tough one. The last climb, the Nokeremberg (350 meters, 5% average and 7% max), is positioned with 49 kilometers to go and in this manner the last hour of race will be held over a totally flat terrain.
