Cavendish fractures a rib, Greipel breaks collarbone
Mark Cavendish‘s crash is for sure the most frightening one that took place yesterday at 2018 Milano-Sanremo. The British fell on the ground after having smashed into a bollard and did a spectacular as much as dangerous somersault live worldwide. Fortunately Dimension Data sprinter is not affected by serious injuries and fractured another rib in addiction to the one broken on Tirreno-Adriatico stage 1. André Greipel instead fractured his collarbone: Lotto-Soudal sprinter crashed on the descent of the Poggio together with Jasper de Buyst and is forced to rest for a month. Also Simon Clarke crashed heavily: EF Drapac rider broke three vertebrae.
