Join us for live text coverage of Paris-Nice 2018 Stage 5 from Salon-de-Provence to Sisteron. Wout Poels of Team Sky took the general classification lead yesterday in the first major shake up since Stage 2 when Luis Leon Sanchez knocked the French sprinter Arnaud Démare off pole position.
It’s the first real mountain stage today. The peloton heads into the Alps, proper and will take on a four categorised climbs, including the Col de Lagarde d’Apt. The Col spans eleven kilometres with an average gradient of 7% and will indicate who’s built up some early-season form.
